I have a number of file types (bmp, gif, mov, mpg, wav, avi) that I can't keyword in Adobe Bridge. Most importantly are the old .bmp images I have that I need to keyword to enable searching. When I select a keyword for the image I get the error "The file cannot store XMP metadata. No changes will occur". Is there a way to correct this and enable keywords to these images? If not, does anyone know of an efficient way to locate all unsupported file types then save them as supported file type? Basically in the case of .bmp files converting them to .jpg or something. I have a huge amount of .bmp files so opening up each one in Photoshop and saving them as a .jpg would take me a very long time.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
