I just started using bridge and I am having a problem with keywords returning after being removed and deleted. I had originally have a keyword called ohio inside of a places keyword. I decided that I wanted to list it as a keyword inside locations and the USA then Ohio. I created the new keyword and removed the other keyword from all of my files and deleted it. When I applied the new ohio keyword to my ohio photos the old keyword popped back up in italics for some of the photos. Deselecting either ohio now removes both ohios. I tried removing all uses of ohio and restarting the program since I had read that the italics are temporary keywords but as soon as I apply Ohio where I want it it pops back up where I deleted it.
I have no idea what to do to permanently remove it. I have only used Bridge CS5. Checking the file info just lists Location USA Ohio as words. I tried selecting ohio on all the images and then renaming the unwanted ohio but it just added a new keyword and the unwanted ohio stayed. I have tried clearing the cache and preferences and even reinstalled everything. I can not find any pattern to the ohio being retained. It is Raw, PSD and Jpeg images. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
