I just recently purchased the Nikon D7000 and installed the lastest version of ACR6.4 for the camera. I've had CS5 for about a year and never encountered any problems with Bridge when writing metadata. When I firt opened CS5 Bridge to view my images taken withtr the D700 I could not write metadata in any of the fields of the IPTC Legacy or IPTC Core. When I tried I got the message: ""This property cannot be modified"". Yet I can open the image using Photoshop. I can write the metadata if the .NEF image is converted to DNG or JPG or Tiff. Why is is it that the .NEF image cannot be modified.
There is another thing I noticed with CS5 Bridge in the Preferences folder. My startup scripts are still in CS4. Should they not read CS5. How do I update those scripts.
