Unable to add keywords to .aep files in Bridge CS4

This seems odd to me. I am able to add keywords to just about any file format I choose, except .aep files. The message I get is "The file "xxxxxx.aep" cannot store XMP Metadata. No changes will occur." This certainly puts a serious crimp in the usefullness of Bridge in a television production workflow. What's the story here? I did a search, looking for this as an issue, but haven't seen any other similar problems out there. I also notice that I can't tag certain Quicktime movies with keywords.

The plot thickens - I went into another folder, and discovered that I CAN tag some .aep files. This is really frustrating! The ones I want to tag and filter are the ones I can't tag. It seems to be a random problem - I've gone into several folders, and tagged some files successfully...some give me the same error. I've had both luck and failures with .aep, .max, .swf, .htm, and several others I've tried. This random failure makes Bridge CS4 essentially unusable as a reliable file managment system.

I'm running WinXP SP3, Bridge 3.0.0.464. Thanks.
