I have both 64 and 32 bit versions of CS4 installed. Since most of my plug-ins only work with 32 bit it is still the version I use m
ost of the time. I have a Panasonic camera and shoot raw. The file type created is .rw2. In Bridge File preferences I can not find a
.rw2 to change it from my 64 bit CS4 to my 32 bit CS4. As I result I always have to open my .rw2 in 64 bit first. How can I get .rw
2 to open in 32 bit CS4 by default? I have made 32 bit CS4 the file type in Windows file associations for .rw2 but it has not resolv
ed the problem.
Till now I have performed done following steps:
1. Some told me to update camera raw 5.6
I have Raw 5.6 installed. From Bridge I can open my .RW2 in RAW by simiply clicking on the file. However, after processing the image
in RAW and I then RAW 5.6 opens the image in CS4 64 bit. I want RAW5.6 to open the image in CS4 32 bit. CS4. How do I make sure that RAW opens the image in 32 bit CS4. From Bridge I want to be able to double click a .RW2 file, open it in RAW 5.6, then open it in CS4 32 bit.
My problem is that RAW 5.6 is opening the RW2 image in CS4 64 bit. I tried going to Bridge/Preferences to change the file type .RW2
to 32 bit CS4 but Bridge/Preferences does not have a RW2 format to select to change.
2. I changed File Type Associations from Bridge preferences by performing below mentioned steps:
1. Launch Bridge, go to Edit, preferences.
2. Under preferences, click on File Type Associations and find Panasonic Camera Raw (.raw), on right side triangle, click on that
and select browse. (Please follow my screen shot as an attachment named 'Raw file', I have marked red circle on the icon where you need to
click and choose browse.)
3. Now give the path of 32bit Photoshop CS4, it would be located in 'Program files x86' folder.
4. After that you can open the raw file in 32bit by default.
