Dear All,
I am new to the Forum and my problem is rather complicate to explain, please apologize me for bad English and insufficient technical background. I have a Pc with 3 Hdisks for nearly 800 Gb in total, 4Gb of RaM , Athlon 2,6 64x2, Video card ATI Radeon X1950GT. From a couple of months I have been having problems when downloading raw files from my cameras:
Oly E PL1: I have to download images setting the camera "MTP mode", otherwise files are downloaded (very quickly) but many of them do not open previews nor can be open in ACR ("...cannot parse the file"). Using the MTP protocol and the USB cable, it seems to go.
Nikon D300 (D700): NEF files are downloaded, but small random horizontal lines do appear on previews and then: 1) they are still there when using ACR, and remain after processing the file, or 2) they disappear in ACR after a few seconds, and the ACR process is generally ok.
Following the Adobe's specialists, I have cancelled the program (CS5) even using a new identity on my PC. It seemed to work, but it crashed down again. This keeps on happening, my impression is that there could be a correspondance with the USB downloading speed, but I do not understand why.
Could anyone give me his/her opinion on the matter please?
Thanks
Kind regards
Ruggero
